This episode begins with Dave answering caller questions about life and money:

  • How long does it take to get out of debt?
  • What should I do to get started in life without going to college?

Later, Dave gives a shout out to Financial Peace University coordinators, and talks to a couple in Memphis whose marriage was transformed when they stopped the money fights by getting on the same page financially. A recently engaged caller asks for advice on how to save money for a down payment on a mortgage.

During the last half of the episode, Dave chats with a couple from Philadelphia who visits the studio to share their debt-free story: "I went to grad school all on student loans, and we bought a house with no money down. So we were in trouble."

Dave closes the episode by answering a few more calls from listeners:

  • Why do you condemn the use of credit cards?

"The credit card is the cigarette of the financial world. There's no upside. It kills you." — Dave
